After losing her memory and eventual rescue, she is adopted and taken north by Young John, a Mohawk Iroquois.  While she is learning a new life among the Bear Clan, Will Ashley, the young man Lucy befriended, has joined Benedict Arnold’s march north to invade Canada.  Will has decided that he would use the invasion route in his search for Lucy.  We learn of the hardships that abound in the invasion attempt as well as discover a new villain also in search of Lucy.
